Dow's 233-point climb highlighted by gains for Boeing, American Express shares

Shares of Boeing and American Express are seeing strong returns Friday morning, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Boeing BA, +4.10% and American Express AXP, +3.33% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +1.29% is trading 233 points, or 0.7%, higher. Boeing’s shares have climbed $4.82, or 3.9%, while those of American Express have climbed $5.68 (3.7%), combining for an approximately 69-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Salesforce Inc. CRM, +4.23%, Walt Disney DIS, +2.48%, and Goldman Sachs GS, +2.07%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
