Home Depot, Salesforce share gains contribute to Dow's 850-point surge

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is soaring Thursday morning with shares of Home Depot and Salesforce seeing positive growth for the price-weighted average. The Dow is trading 849 points higher (2.6%), as shares of Home Depot and Salesforce have contributed around two thirds of the index’s intraday rally. Home Depot’s shares have gained $25.02, or 8.7%, while those of Salesforce have gained $10.09 (7.1%), combining for an approximately 231-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Microsoft Nike and Apple A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
